What the roadbike expert says:
In 2006, the biking region of SalzburgerLand - Salzkammergut became world-famous when the road World Championship was held in and around the city of Salzburg.
My tour tip is the ride up the Gaisberg mountain, the local mountain to the city of Salzburg. After an ascent of 9 km, you are rewarded with a fantastic view of the whole province, the nearby mountains, and the Mozart city of Salzburg. The view stretches to the lakes, where there are many more possible tours.
If I’m not in the mood for tough climbs, then the relaxed tours between Mondsee, Fuschlsee and Wolfgangsee are just perfect.
