What the roadbike expert says:

The Tyrolean lowland is an ideal starting point for various cycling tours of all difficulties in an unspoiled environment: the flat roads, with little traffic, around the Kaisergebirge mountain range or at the Chiemsee lake are possible from April right through to the end of October. There are moderate climbs along the German Alpine Road and in the tributary valleys of the River Inn, giving you a demanding ride, with plenty of variety. The steep slopes of the Kitzbühler Horn, the “Austrian Alpe d’Huez” or those of the Zillertaler Hühenstrasse road are breathtaking in both senses of the word, even for excellent mountain riders. Crossriders will enjoy the more than 100 km of traffic-free, signposted forest tracks.
