Eisacktal

… The tasteful roadbike region

The Eisacktal is one of the main valleys in South Tyrol. Geographically speaking, it stretches from the source of the Eisack on the Brenner to where it enters the Etsch before Bolzano. The stretch contains km of pleasure when it comes to biking and is just as suitable for families as it is for hobby cyclists.

Away from the road:
Nestled between extensive fruit orchards, vineyards, and stylish little towns with a Mediterranean flair, it would be a real shame not to fully exploit all of the attractions aside from cycling.

What the roadbike expert says:

“The Eisacktal valley in South Tyrol is an absolute paradise of passes: the Jaufenpass, Würzjoch, Sella and Pordoi to name but a few. Mountain specialists will be really fulfilled here. You should definitely include a circular tour in your plans, e.g. the Sella Ronda. If this circuit’s too long, you can ride the passes separately if you prefer; each one of them is an absolute dream. The Würzjoch makes the connection into the fable-rich world of the Dolomites. The Jaufenpass is one of my favourites too. By connecting into the west, it opens up a whole load more tour possibilities.”
